Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is British Columbia’s recognized pediatric palliative care provider. Over 600 newborns, children and teens with life-threatening illnesses and their families receive care from Canuck Place through outreach programs and two hospice locations; Vancouver and Abbotsford. The University Women’s Club of Vancouver, the second University Women's Club in Canada, was founded on May 11, 1907 by a group of eight young women graduates of universities in Eastern Canada and the U.S.A..
