The Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodation (CERA) is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to preventing evictions and ending housing discrimination across Ontario. CERA was founded in 1987 as the only organization in Canada with a primary focus on promoting human rights in housing. Nearly 30 years later, we continue to carry out our mandate through public education, research, law reform, casework, test case litigation and using international human rights law and mechanisms. Our intake program, funded by the City of Toronto, provides assistance and support to individuals who are experiencing housing issues related to eviction and human rights.
Customers express gratitude for the exceptional assistance and support provided by lawyers at CERA, particularly Tim and Lee. They describe their experiences as life-changing, providing valuable information and creating a sense of hope during stressful situations. The lawyers' expertise, dedication, and prompt assistance are noted.

We are a Christian, non-denominational, faith-based street mission in downtown Toronto, serving the poor and needy of our city. Our various ministries offer support and provisions for the homeless, low-income families, and children and youth. The Scott Mission is a Christian ministry of mercy and love. We aim to meet the needs of people with love and compassion and seek to bring physical, spiritual and emotional wholeness to their lives. The Mission is privately funded and employs over 100 dedicated staff at 502 Spadina, our Family Centre in East York, the Collingwood Retreat Centre and our Summer Camp in Caledon. Building on the vision of our founders Morris and Annie Zeidman, who began the work in 1941, we have remained Christ-centred in all our programs and services. It was their belief that the hunger of the soul needed to be addressed as well as the hunger of the physical body. We trust that as you learn more about our story and the work we do, that you too will be blessed by seeing what the Lord has enabled us to do in His Name.
The Scott Mission is a charitable organization that makes a positive impact on society with honest and kind people. Volunteers have had transformative experiences there, and the organization strives to provide meals for all, regardless of income or discrimination. Some customers appreciate the meals' consistency and have suggestions for scheduling adjustments. However, there have been issues with mailings being sent to incorrect addresses, causing frustration for some. Overall, the mission is described as great, fantastic, and the best place ever, with kind staff and volunteers.

In 2000, Carol Newell of the Endswell Foundation and a small group of social entrepreneurs and philanthropists asked: how can we foster a healthy planet and just Canadian society? Their answer: grow the capital and build the community dedicated to solving the key environmental and social issues of our time. Since then, thousands of donors, on-the-ground initiatives, and partners have transformed this vision into the vibrant community that is Tides Canada today. There have been many key milestones along the way. In 2000, we pioneered a unique shared platform that powers social change initiatives across the country from our shared in-house governance and administration expertise. Donor dollars go further, and more time and money go to mission and impact. In 2007, we coordinated landmark financing for the Great Bear Rainforest agreements, resulting in $120-million to support conservation management and sustainable economic development in the region—transforming the way the region is managed now and for future generations. In 2010, we launched a new team with deep issue expertise and broad networks. Their task: work directly in the field with changemakers and design strategic granting programs for priority places and pressing challenges across the country. With regional presence in Manitoba, Northern Canada, Western Canada, and Ontario, Tides Canada reaches beyond surface solutions, working with donors to create strategic investments that maximize positive change.
