February 28th, 2013 CVA The Canadian Vintners Association (CVA) was created in 1975 as the Canadian Wine Institute and renamed in 2000 to better reflect the growth of this dynamic industry. The CVA represents over 90% of all wine produced in Canada including 100% Canadian, Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA) wines and International-Canadian Blended (ICB) wine products. The CVA brings together our membership to advocate on public policy initiatives by working cooperatively with governments and other stakeholders to find solutions that benefit both society and the entire Canadian wine industry. The Canadian wine market remains strong, supported by a continuing growth in consumption as Canadians’ beverage of choice. The sales and marketing efforts of Canadian vintners will continue to drive wine sales through all of our trade channels, including estate wineries, provincial and territorial liquor boards, private retail outlets, licensed establishments, and wine agencies. Club Casa de los Abuelos is a non-profit organization created to assist the elderly in the Spanish-speaking community. Our purpose is to redirect local resources designated to benefit the elderly and to offer a safe haven in the City of Ottawa for our parents and grandparents to meet and socialize. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and members alike, Club Casa de los Abuelos fills a void that existed in our community by bringing the elderly out of isolation and helping them enjoy a healthier, more active lifestyle.

SalvAide is a Canadian not-for-profit organization with charitable status accompanying the people of El Salvador since 1985 as they build social justice, democracy, and economic development. SalvAide supports solidarity with the people of El Salvador through specific program areas. Our work aims to directly accompany the struggle for social justice in El Salvador and to build Canadian awareness about the Salvadoran reality and Canadian government and business policies that impact upon that reality. All the initiatives we support are community driven, deeply democratic, and strive for gender equity. From cooperative cashew farming to helping to build participatory municipal gender equity guidelines, our partners' work is a model for sustainable democratic development in El Salvador, the only option for a future based on fairness and human rights.
