"By students for students" has always been the theme of the ministry of Inter-Varsity. Birthed out of the student movement in the United Kingdom in 1929, we began a small group of students and recent graduates, committed to one thing: sharing the message of Jesus Christ with student-aged Canadians. In this, the mission of Inter-Varsity is to radically change the globe with that message, carried by young people to every corner of Canada and the world. Through the years, Inter-Varsity has been committed to student leadership, being shaped by each generation and helping them find their own voice. God has truly provided for this ministry since the first days and is working through individuals of great Kingdom influence to see His purposes expressed to every student generation.

Amadeusz, guiding principles and techniques for facilitating alternative education programs for youth in Toronto, was used to launch the Look At My Life Project in 2009. The Look At My Life Project is dedicated to social justice with an objective to enhance and advance the futures of incarcerated young people by influencing public policy and sharing our best practices with stakeholders and government alike. Our objectives are to provide opportunities for young people remanded to custody and increase educational achievement levels so they are better prepared to create positive change within their own lives. In doing so, the Look At My Life Project serves individuals from various communities across the City of Toronto and has developed partnerships with three detention centres in Toronto and the Vanier Centre For Women in Milton.

The thoroughbred is a beautiful, versatile and athletic breed, which can proudly trace its bloodlines back many centuries. It is our belief that it is a privilege to be a part of their lives and custodians of their welfare. They race for our pleasure – it’s only right we provide them with a happy retirement after their racing days are over. With time and patience, almost all thoroughbreds can become the most loving and gentlest of companions and, with re-training, most of our graduates have gone on to second careers as riding horses, some with show potential!
