Founder The Founder of the Shiatsu School of Canada, Kaz Kamiya, is a pioneer in teaching shiatsu. An accomplished practitioner of shiatsu and acupuncture, Mr. Kamiya originally worked as a tool-and-die designer in Brazil and Canada. In his mid-30's, he learned about shiatsu. The purpose of the Art Centre was to provide a home for three permanent collections of art belonging to the University: the Lillian Malcove Collection (which came to us by bequest in 1981), the University College Collection (Canadian art), and the large and eclectic University of Toronto Art Collection.
