The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation (The KWCF) helps make a lasting difference in our community. The KWCF is a charity for charities. Although we don't provide charitable services, we do help community organizations make a difference by providing them with funds for new programs, capital needs, student awards and much more. When you make a donation or gift to The KWCF, we invest that gift into a permanent endowment fund - reserved trusts. Your original gift is not spent. It generates income that is then distributed through grants to support a wide range of charitable causes within our community. It is through these grants that we help you make that lasting difference.

As a Canadian-based social enterprise established in 2010, we seek to empower individuals and organizations to promote positive social change through volunteerism and community engagement. Students are not graduating high school because they lost a piece of paper. Volunteers aren't being engaged because of archaic, paper-based inefficiencies. We've developed three distinct software platforms in order to solve these problems. We designed the Charity Republic volunteer management software for non-profits and charities with the help of over 60 volunteer coordinators. It was built by volunteer coordinators, for volunteer coordinators.
