About Climate Change Connection is a program of the Manitoba Eco Network . We are a non-government organization working to educate Manitobans about climate change facilitate climate change solutions What do we do? We build awareness of climate change so Manitobans will reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions - both individually and as a community. We work to expand our network of people and groups who are involved in climate change solutions. What can we do for you? Here is a list of services we offer: Centres were created in each province and territory to serve as inter-connected information hubs. That network no longer exists formally, but we still work with our current partners to connect Manitobans to climate change facts and solutions. Governance & funding We are administered by the Manitoba Eco-Network and are governed by a Steering Committee . The Steering Committee is by the Manitoba Eco-Network and the University of Winnipeg. Primary funding is provided by the Province of Manitoba, Manitoba Hydro, and Manitoba Tire Stewardship. We also accept donations and grants. Donations are tax deductible. We work to objectives, deliverables, and metrics laid out in our annual business plan. We report progress twice a year. Sun Certified Builders Co-op builds low-energy homes. They build to a model called Passive House or passivhaus, something that isn’t often used in Manitoba - yet. Thanks to our funders.

We are St Raphael Wellness Centre (SRWC) a non-profit, charitable organisation based in Winnipeg serving the needs of individuals and families affected by addiction. From our beginnings in the early 1970s as a small church-based addictions support service, we grew into a helping agency that, in the early 1990s sought to introduce European-influenced housing and addiction treatment to Winnipeg. Since then we have re-focused on meeting the needs of those in pre- and post-treatment. While our history has informed our holistic approach to addictions recovery-we believe that personal spirituality is one of many areas that are included in well-balanced living-our programs are not faith-based and we welcome Participants from all cultural and religious backgrounds.

Founded in 1965 as the Home Welfare Association, Meals on Wheels (MOW) is committed to delivering nutritious meals to senior citizens, physically challenged and vulnerable members of the Winnipeg Area. We value the personal contact and caring provided by our volunteers as well as every client’s right to the very best service we can offer. We take pride in the responsible management of our human, physical and financial resources, and in providing the highest quality product. 2015 marks Meals on Wheels’ 50th anniversary. In 2012, approximately 160, 000 meals were served by a dedicated team of volunteers. We are a non-profit registered charity. There are five full–time employees who manage the administration and approximately 300 volunteers who deliver meals 365 days a year. We are governed by a Board of Directors and funded by the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA), The United Way and The Winnipeg Foundation. We have a collaborative relationship with 13 facilities. Our meals are prepared at the WRHA Regional Distribution Facility and transported to Winnipeg’s nine hospitals for pick up by our volunteers. There are also four independent facilities that prepare food for our clients: Park Manor for the Transcona area, West Park Manor for the Charleswood area, St. Amant for the St. Vital area, and Gwen Secter, which provides kosher food for all areas of the city.
Meals on Wheels provides invaluable service for seniors in need, with volunteers going above and beyond to ensure the recipients' nutritional needs are met, despite challenges. Gratitude expressed for the remarkable, kind-hearted, and committed volunteers.
