We are the second largest of 38 Teachers’ Associations in Manitoba. We represent over 1500 teachers who work in the RETSD. We have two full time teachers and one full time administrative assistant in our office working on your behalf. Our association is based on democratic principles. We have a council, executive and an elected president. What We Do We negotiate salaries, rights and working conditions on your behalf. We represent you if you need help or have a conflict. We can give you confidential advice. We provide maternity/parental leave seminars for you. We organize fun social activities for teachers throughout the year. Gateway Recreation Centre is located 15 minutes from downtown and is within 5 minutes of the perimeter highway. The centre consists of 2 year-round indoor rinks, 2 outdoor hockey rinks, 1 indoor soccer pitch, 4 mini soccer fields, 3 regulation soccer fields, 7 ball diamonds, 2 outdoor asphalt hockey pens, as well as, a banquet hall, canteen, and youth & adult activity centre, and a summer outdoor splash pad and play structure. There is parking for 309 vehicles.

The Corvette Club of Manitoba Inc. was founded in 1971 and is now in its 40th year. Membership currently exceeds 140 members and co-members (spouse or significant other). A wide variety of Corvettes are represented in the club with many from the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, and 2000s, including many from the new C6 generation, including a C6 ZR1. As a non-profit organization, and to raise money, the club participates in various fund raising events (car shows, raffle tickets). The club's primary charity is the Rainbow Society. Some other events that are held throughout the year are slalom races, Gimli drag races, games nights, show & shines (car shows), summer fun cruises, BBQs, club travel meetings in the summer, parts swap meets... the list goes on and on. Many of our sponsors offer parts and service discounts, and if a mysterious problem occurs with your car, chances are someone in the club has experienced and corrected the same problem. Upon joining the club, a new member receives a Corvette Club of Manitoba jacket patch, window decal, and a membership card. A monthly newsletter detailing all upcoming events is emailed to each member, and club jackets and T-shirts are also available. Membership is $40 per year, or $55 total for a member and co-member. There is an additional one time $5 fee for new applications.

CPF was founded in 1977 by parents who wanted to ensure that children would have the opportunity to become bilingual in the Canadian school system.
