SAVING LIVES SINCE 1927 The Kitchener-Waterloo & North Waterloo Humane Society is one of the largest Humane Societies in Ontario serving one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas. Over 18, 000 square feet of space allows us to care for 62 dogs, 165 cats and an assortment of birds, small mammals and reptiles. In emergency situations the Centre can be quickly altered to house up to 400 animals. The KWHS provides humane education, law enforcement, and sheltering of animals in this community. AWASCO STRATEGIC PLAN SUMMARY The Animal Welfare Agency South Central Ontario is a new organization formed in July of 2012. The new organization represents the coming together of the Stratford-Perth Humane Society and the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society. The intent of this integration is to enhance the operational capacities, financial viability, educational opportunites that improve the overall geographical area.to.
