Incoming grade 9 students will receive orientation information in the mail the week of August 8th. For information about transportation, click here to be taken to the student transportation website. As you may be aware, Ryan's Law, 2015, was passed by the Ontario Legislature. This piece of legislation is an important step to support the well-being of students with asthma in Ontario schools. Over the course of the next school year, Grand Erie District School Board will be working to implement the requirements of this legislation. In the meantime, if your child has asthma, we ask that you immediately contact the main office at your school to provide information about your child’s asthma medication. With your permission, your child will be allowed to carry their asthma medication. Read more on the Ministry of Education website. As a best practice and to support your child, please let the school know if your child has a medical condition so that the school is aware and can keep this information on file. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Sincerely, Rob Malcolm Principal Waterford District High School Special Edition 125th Year Book

Waterford Public School, home of the Wildcats, is a Junior Kindergarten to grade 8 school of approximately 315 students located at 100 East Church St. adjacent to county baseball diamonds and the arena. It came into existence in its present form in September, 2010 with the expansion of the former Ada B. Massecar Campus from six classrooms to twelve, eventually adding seven portables before a Boundary Review (2022-23). Additional portable classrooms have been added to meet the needs of our community in recent years, and we now have three portables. The program provides a safe place where children can enjoy arts and crafts, physical activities, chat with friends, or work on their homework. Subsidized spaces may be available, and registrations for flexible schedules are accepted.
