Students must be 16 years of age and physically capable of performing first aid skills. Instruction includes: priority action approach, airway obstruction, breathing distress, resuscitation, CPR and bleeding and shock, AED/defibrillator training & certification. Successful course completion results in a WCB issued Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate (valid for 3 years). Transportations Endoresment: Students are instructed in hard collar application (cervical immobilization) and securing of injured patients to spine boards.
