The First Baptist Church in Vancouver is a warm and welcoming place for its members and visitors. The friendly and warm-hearted staff is highly appreciated by attendees. Everything we do at Westside is centred on making Jesus known. Christ’s great commission is for His disciples to go out and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-19). In other words, it is inconsistent at best, disobedient at worst, to be a disciple of Jesus and not be a disciple-maker. In Jesus’ parable of the Great Banquet (Luke 14), He tells us to go out and compel as many people as possible to come to His Father’s banqueting table so that His house may be full. Westside Church is a welcoming and inclusive place of worship in Vancouver with great acoustics and inspiring teachings. The pastor's sound teachings have been appreciated by many visitors. The church community is close-knit and offers various activities for all age groups. Some visitors have noted the need for focus during services to minimize distractions and ensure a more spiritual experience.
