Jeff partnering with a fellow hockey expert to open The Hockey Source, a South Daytona area hockey sports store, marked the beginning of him sharing his skate sharpening and repair talents with the general public. Before moving back to Toronto in 1996, Jeff and his business partner both coached championship winning Midget and Men’s league hockey teams. Hired as a skate sharpening and fitting expert at Just Hockey, Toronto’s leading hockey sports equipment store, Jeff further honed his skate sharpening skills and became an expert in skate profiling and blade alignment. Trained by Bob Allen from Maximum Edge, Jeff perfected his skills and started working on the skates of professional hockey players. National Sports caught wind of Jeff’s reputation as an expert in hockey equipment and skate maintenance and recruited him to oversee 18 sports stores and train their skate sharpeners. Jeff works directly with coaching staff to determine and solve key skating performance issues experienced by players. Jeff’s thorough and holistic approach has garnered the attention of prominent coaches and skating coaches across the country. Today Jeff continues to support hockey teams and is the equipment manager and skate sharpener for girls Midget to Intermediate AA Toronto Aeros, and has served as the trainer for the Stop Concussions Tour to Australia the last two years in a row. ProSkateCorner, led by owner Jeff, is highly praised for exceptional skate sharpening services. Jeff's expertise and personalized approach to sharpening based on individual skating styles, as well as his support for the women's game, has customers driving long distances and building long-term relationships.
