Dr. Davy was born and educated in Vienna, Austria. He fell in love with Paediatrics during his very first shift as a medical student at the Karolinen Kinderspital (a small children’s hospital in Vienna’s 9th district). Dr. Davy graduated from the University of Vienna Medical School in 1977 with a Dr. med. univ. degree having married his wife Irene (a Canadian PhD. student of psychology at the University) one day earlier. Dr. Davy commenced his postgraduate training with an internship at the Provincial Hospital in Scheibbs, Lower Austria. He then took on a paediatric residency in cardiology at the Universitäts-Kinderklinik in Vienna. In 1980, the couple moved to Canada to allow Irene to take over the directorship of Sunnybrook School from her mother. Under Irene’s new leadership the school became the first IB PYP School in Toronto.
