Kieran started Irish dance relatively late, at the age of 11, but quickly mastered his craft, winning three consecutive Eastern Canadian Irish dance championships in a row. In 2006, Kieran moved to England and trained seven days a week with Sean Eireann McMahon (one of the world’s leading Irish dance schools) achieving his competitive goals and earning a myriad of titles, including Senior Men’s Great Britain Champion and placing in the top 10 at the World Championships of Irish dance. He is a certified Irish dance teacher who has taught workshops all over western Europe and North America and is also the principal dancer in the Celtic Dance Company of Canada. For the last six years, Kieran has toured extensively with “Magic of the Dance” – one of the longest-running and most successful Irish dance shows of all time, performing in the lead role. For Kieran, the opportunity to be able to pass his talents on to the next generation is both an honour and a dream come true. DeVoy Academy of Irish Dance offers a family-oriented and fun environment for dancing.
