The Orchestre symphonique de Montreal pop, led by Mr. Alain Cazes, and Chorus of the Orchestre symphonique de Montreal pop, led by Donald Lavergne, are two of the few ensembles in Quebec to concentrate on film music, musicals, television series, video games and jazz standards. Besides promoting the symphonic and choral music, this hundred artists was also given the task of supporting the community by offering various organizations holding benefit concerts in the greater Montreal area. Wishing to offer the opportunity to play and hear an original and accessible book, pop Symphony of Montreal (OSPM) was founded in 2006 by drummer Stéphane Savaria and his wife, Geneviève Lanouette bassoonist. Indeed, OSPM is one of the only symphony orchestra in Quebec or in Canada, to devote himself to film music, musicals, television series, video games and, on occasion, to standards of jazz music.
