Eddy the engine and Friend Enterprises Limited was incorporated in 1996. It is a privately owned business run by Linda Penn. The trains were brought over from England by Kevin McKlusky, who convinced the city of Surrey to allow him to run the train in Bear Creek Park. In 1997 David and Linda Penn took over the business . David had a passion for the train and for the children. He designed the special events to delight the children, and he loved doing it until his death in 2012. The 18 hole golf course was added in 2009 after consultation with the City of Surrey. In compliance with their regulations it is a landscaped course that meanders amongst the redwoods. It provides lots of fun for the whole family ! The land is leased from the city of Surrey and the train continues to be a main attraction for guests from all over the world. Thank you to the City of Surrey for allowing us to continue to operate.
