Hickman Automotive Group has remained a family-operated business since Albert E. Hickman put it in drive in 1905. The Business Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (BANL) was formed in 1983 by a small group of local entrepreneurs. These business people joined together for their mutual benefit and support. Facing Newfoundland and Labrador's harsh economic climate, it was felt that through networking the likelihood of profitability would be increased. Building from this belief, from a small group of six, our Association has grown steadily since the beginning.
