LBC was established in June of 2002 in an office of a woodshop on Welland Ave, the facilities were less than adequate and looking back it is a wonder anybody came to the hot office space! Soon it became apparent that better facilities were needed. We met in a number of different facilities. In a large hall, a school gymnasium, a school classroom. All through this time, we believed that God had an actual church building for us. In February, 2007 our dreams were realized and the church purchased and moved into our present “church building” at 265 Linwell Road. We are grateful to the Lord who has guided us and we give Him all the praise and the glory for what He has done. Pastor: Pastor Mike is the founding pastor of our church. He and his wife Lynn have been married since 2000. Together they have 2 boys, Caleb and Joshua. Pastor Mike’s desire in pastoring is to help people see and rejoice in the glory of God through preaching of God’s word. His pulpit ministry is one of systematic exposition of God’s word towards this end. His interest include, hiking, reading, family time, biblical Greek, theology and history. Elder: Elder Terry Blanchard was born in England and confessed Christ as Lord and Saviour here in Canada in 1971. Before retirement he pastored Baptist churches both England and in Ontario. He has been married to Pam for 45 years with two sons Andrew and Richard and two grandchildren. Hobbies include reading, golf and these days watching soccer.

Programs range from food and shelter security to emergency services and support that lead to the independence clients strive to achieve. Since its inception, the RAFT has supported thousands of youth, helping them to become independent and self-sufficient individuals. In 1992, in response to growing concerns associated with a lack of services for at-risk and homeless youth, an interfaith task force examined how the community could best meet their needs. Following consultations with education, social services, justice, the faith community and local agencies, the RAFT, operated by the Niagara Resource Service for Youth, became a reality. With funding from service clubs, community groups, the faith community and concerned individuals, the RAFT took shape and officially opened in May of 1994. The RAFT began as a drop in centre operating five nights a week.
