Elle offre une gamme d’activités et de services s’adressant aux personnes ayant des problèmes de santé mentale ainsi qu’aux organismes offrant des services à cette clientèle au sein de la communauté. La Cordée s’inscrit indiscutablement dans un irréversible mouvement de désinstitutionalisation. Elle veut offrir une alternative à l’hospitalisation et à l’exclusion sociale, tout en offrant un ensemble de services permettant aux personnes atteintes de retrouver une place dans la société en même temps que leur dignité. Ce faisant, La Cordée contribue à prévenir les hospitalisations. Nous travaillons à ces objectifs en collaboration avec les ressources du milieu et les services de psychiatrie, sans pour autant en être le prolongement.
