Les lois qui ont été votées récemment ont incité un groupe de camionneurs à créer l’Association des routiers professionnels du Québec (ARPQ), dont les objectifs sont de promouvoir le professionnalisme des travailleurs de l’industrie du transport et de permettre aux routiers de prendre part aux décisions qui les concernent. Qui de mieux que la personne derrière le volant pour y parvenir?La perception de la population est souvent erronée à notre sujet. En effet, elle croit que les conducteurs de poids lourds sont des délinquants et que les lois ne s’appliquent pas à eux. Or, nous connaissons très bien les lois et règlements auxquels nous devons faire face tous les jours lorsque nous conduisons notre camion.
