Children's Foundation help children and youth reach their full potential through programs that support their intellectual, emotional and physical well-being. All children and youth have equal opportunity to learn, grow and participate in their community. Originally started in 1991 as a way to provide funding for important programs for children not-in-care identified by the Family and Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington, the Foundation reach is currently broader. In 2009, Food and Friends transitioned from being hosted by Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health to a program of the Children's Foundation, bringing the core programming.
