Review about Canada Custom Autoworks - Rims and Tires, Westbank
23 February 2024
Bought some tires and had them installed on a car. Was told what a nice little car and then they had some problems with getting off a couple lug nuts so the owner came over and said where do you want to tow it I can’t get 2 of the lug nuts off the front passenger tire and they could break, to which I replied I don’t know I need the new tires and he went back in the back then came back out and said yep they both broke so the car is not drivable leave it with me another day we will fix the 2 broken stems for 80 dollars. Next day was told can’t drive the car the other 2 stems need to be replaced and all of your stems and rotors and everything need to be replaced and you need an inspection so I took car to a auto shop in west Kelowna they fixed 1 stem replaced 3 tire bolts and said everything is good just need to look at getting front brakes done in near future. After talking to the guys at custom Canada wondering why if the had the tire apart to fix the 2 stems why didn’t they fix the other and was told they are not mechanics and can’t fix it but they had no problem fixing the 2 as long as I paid for it,with the owner claiming he did me a favour by fixing it. I will never go there again and will not recommend getting tires put on there or any other work. They kept claiming they aren’t mechanics and don’t do any repair they should change their advertising that states they are a tire and repair shop anyone can work a impact wrench. I feel taken advantage of and left all worried that my car isn’t safe and the auto shop told me that sounds like they are a bunch of monkeys don’t know how to do anything and don’t go back there. Have found out that this exact thing has happened to a couple other people that dealt with them. If you can’t figure out how to get a tire off without breaking the stems maybe hire someone who can fix it when you break it since it is all part of replacing tires. I think this shop should be avoided if your looking to actually get the tires put on without a problem, instead of saving some money on the tires it cost me 200 extra and for 3 days had no car. To the owner who kept insisting he was doing me a favour thanks but you suck.
