Review about Colour Addiction Inc, Oakville
13 years ago
Stylist/ Manager – Laura
Hair type – Fine with micro ring hair extensions
Hair Style – Up do (Note lasted for 10 minutes before it started to resemble a birds nest)
Service – Abysmal to say the least, I had my hair put up and it fell down after 10 mins of leaving but because I had a Make-up-artist appointment I decided to contact the salon upon my return – They were closed unfortunately so I phoned and left an answer phone message stating I wanted a refund as my hair didn’t even last half an hour (Laura also the Slon Manager claimed it would last till the following day). My sister had to travel back from Richmond to re-do my hair.
They initially quoted $55.00 for the service and when my hair was done decided to charge me $92.00, I am new in this country and since then many women from Oakville have told me this is a RIPOFF. But putting that aside I went in to see the manager (Laura) & she refused point blank to give a refund or even do my hair again as a goodwill gesture instead she offered 20% back which I feel is a slap in the face with a total disregard for new clientele. She proceeded to blame my hair because it has extensions (Note I have had an up do since with another stylist and my hair was perfect the entire night!, further to this I had an up do on my wedding and that did last through to the following day, bearing in mind I had an Indian wedding which meant I had a 20kg veil also attached to my hairstyle)
Do not bother going to this Salon unless you want to get ripped off or you want a really bad hair do that falls apart, and Brides to be avoid at all costs unless you want tears of despair on your special day.
I own an Events Management Company & organize weddings/ fashion shows, needless to say I will be telling all to avoid this Salon at all costs.
Worst part of the experience has been she had the audacity to blame my hair and the fact that because she pinned grips into my scalp and I got her to remove them – This meant that the style wouldn’t stay in hence it was entirely my fault. She wasn’t even apologetic, and to top this she took me into the back so that her other clients wouldn’t hear how bad her service & after care of clients is – Not that it was a surprise she did this as she knew she was in the wrong. Sometimes just a simple apology can hold weight..
If you’ve had a good experience I wish I was you, if you are planning on going – Find another stylist.
