I took a taxi from Trudeau airport to Downtown, on Sunday Sept 11th 2022, at 5pm. Driver said it was a fixed fee, $55. Signage inside the taxi said it was a $41 fixed fee to downtown, the driver explained that because there was a detour the fare was higher. When we arrived at the hotel, he told me there was a 15% tax on the fare, I knew something was wrong, but he was a big young guy, so I am not going to argue over this. I gave him no tip, when he saw this he started cursing and swearing at me. What a welcome to Montreal.
