Review about Aaron's Sales & Lease, St. Catharines

I made a MasterCard payment of$45.20 on July 29 to Matt at Aaron's Sales and leasing for the regular monthly payment on my Magnavox TV, yet on August 2, his company demanded that I pay an additional$86.99 that I didn't owe otherwise they will take back my TV. In short their company is overcharging people and trying to extort extra money from their customers which is not right

Sorry to hear about your experience with your local store. We will forward your concerns to upper management and let them know about your recent experience. Thank you for your time. -Tavius

Review about Promotions Ltd, Scarborough

This company is somewhat disorganized, and They do not provide your supplies, you have to purchase them out of pocket, which is expensive!! I worked for them on a 2 day Food sampling job .. I live in Thorold and the job is in Welland. The first day, they emailed me a description of my job. I was to sample 7 Pillars items. ( Kielbassa and Pepperettes). I go to the store ( job site)with my table and supplies as requested. The store only has 2 of the 7 items available for me to sample. Then the staff get mad at me because they say that I was supposed to bring an electric skillet. They are upset that I don't have one. I explain the job description that I was given by the company. So after I wipe the egg off my face, and overcome my embarrassment and humiliation. I then call my boss at Promotions. My boss insists that I go to Walmart after work and purchase a $45 skillet and bring it to work the next day. My bosses knew that I don't drive and had to take the buses. So I take my table and supplies on the bus with me ( in my grocery cart), go to Walmart and spend $45 on a skillet to be used for the 7 hour demo the next day. The staff and security at Walmart questioned me about the items I had with me, they thought I was shoplifting! Which I was not!! So I showed them all my paperwork and explained the issue. I go to work the next day and complete my demo. The skillet is sitting in my kitchen, so in effect I have a $45 paperweight.
Promotions Ltd Business

In our defense against this slander. Jennifer's a new addition to our team. I found her to be inquisitive, thoughtful, thorough and eager. Our company which has been in business for 37 years is highly regarded in the industry as a small company that can accommodate our clients at a moments notice. This requires team effort to accomplish. In this particular event, (Jennifer's first), we were told by the client that there would be 7 different items to demo. It turned out to be two and it required a skillet. We were not informed of this until Jennifer discovered it the day of the demo. This does happen. A skillet was required and since Jennifer did not have one, COULD she purchase one from Walmart with money sent by interact? We would also cover her travel costs to do so since it was sooo last minute. She agreed. Normally we do not give demo work to people who do not have their own transportation. Jennifer assured me she would have no trouble taking the bus. I applauded her efforts. When promotions hires someone they are considered self-employed as we take no deductions. Therefore, by law, they are required to provide their own "tools", in this case cutting board, scissors, knives etc. We cover toothpicks and doilies and disposable items. In Jennifers' case we paid for her starter kit and sent it to her to show our appreciation of her extra effort required for this, her first, demo. I personally have worked for Promotions on a part time basis for the past 6 years. Promotions has an ebb and flow that provides me with extra income on an irregular basis that works for me. The paperweight skillet has been requested to be returned to the company, free of charge through our courier account next week at no inconvenience to Jennifer other then boxing it up and handing it to a driver. Oh, and Jennifer did get paid on time like we always do.
