My husband and I went to have our eyes checked with Dr. Manny DeBono, he spent about 15 minutes with both of us and most of the time he was talking about how sick he was. He seems to be in a hurry give us our prescription and walk us out the door. When I picked up my eye glasses I realized that my distance was burry so I could not wear my glasses to drive or any other time. I went back to the optical store and was told that my prescription was wrong for my distance. I wrote Dr. Manny DeBone a letter and I explained everything to him and asked for a solution to his mistake. To my surprise he reply “Notably if the optical store in question has covered off your concerns then I remind you that quality stores will change the prescription for you no charge if it is deemed a doctors error. Not certain what it is you expect from us as a solution when if you are confident in your new venue for optical services then by all means abide by their advice and they should back up their advice by changing the lense for you. No Charge”. Dr. Manny DeBono continued to say “I would assume you are looking for fiscal assistance in this matter and I would outline to you directly that we will not compensate you in any capacity. Have the store back up what they are saying and the doctor at that end to provide you with a new prescription and I will address that directly as well”.
