Our Active & Safe Routes to School web site provides resources, tools, information and links for schools and communities to create their own unique Active & Safe Routes to School program. Schools can choose to implement walking activities to school or at school, through fun and innovative actions like the IWALK Club. All of our resources are linked to the Ontario Curriculum using the Curriculum Unit planner and are available in English and French. If just nine families participate regularly in a Walking School Bus they can collectively prevent almost 1,000 kg of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere.

We are a beautiful and well kept RV Resort, located in the heart of the Kawarthas. We are located on the picturesque Otonabee River, which is part of the Trent-Severn Waterway. We are about 7km north of Rice Lake, 12km from the city of Peterborough and approximately 1.5 hrs from Toronto at Highway 400 (Pearson Int’l Airport). Peterborough is a wonderful city with many amenities which you can find listed on our Amenities page. Upon arriving at Kawartha Trails Resort, you will meet the current owners, Richard and Judy Schwan, who purchased the park in 2005. While staying with us, you can simply relax on your site, take a stroll around the park, enjoy a refreshing swim, warm-up in the hot tub, or take advantage of any of the Amenities . We welcome guests with van conversions, truck campers, tent trailers, travel trailers, motor homes, 5th wheels and even 40' buses. Unfortunately, we can not accommodate tenting.
