Founded in 2000, Township 7 has two BC wineries, one situated in the scenic Fraser Valley and the other on the picturesque Naramata Bench in Canada’s premier wine region, the Okanagan Valley. Our Metro Vancouver winery is located in the beautiful south Langley countryside in a quaint building reminiscent of the many riding stables in the neighbourhood. Named after this historic community of south Langley, its original name in the late 1800s was “Township 7”- the cottage on our property is an original building from the 1930s.

In 1979 Salvatore D’Angelo began his search for the land on which to plant his vineyard. An accomplished amateur winemaker, his ambition was to start his own winery within the heart of Essex County, in Southern Ontario. In 1983 he bought 50 acres in Amherstburg, just south of Windsor. Then in 1984 Sal covers planted his first acre of grapes, and made his first vintage in 1989. Today, the magnificent vineyard forty-two acres of the fifty-acre property. Today, D’Angelo Vineyards has eight acres of vines planted in the Okanagan Valley on the renowned Naramata Bench and more are in the process of being developed. This makes Sal the first individual grower-vintner to produce wines in both Ontario and British Columbia.
