Edison Hopkinson, owner and director of MATHCUBED, initially attended Engineering at the University of Waterloo then transferred to the University of Ottawa to complete his Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1988. In 1994, he completed his Bachelor of Education (Intermediate-Senior level) at the University of Ottawa. Edison and his wife, Jennifer Irwin, opened MATHCUBED in 1992. Built primarily on word-of-mouth referrals from parents, students, math teachers, guidance counsellors, and educational psychologists, their team of rigorously selected and trained tutors have successfully taught more than 3000 students grade 7-12 over the past 20 years. Mission Statement At MATHCUBED, our mission is to substantially increase the math knowledge of our students so that they meet or exceed their academic math goals. As our students’ math skills improve, we believe their confidence grows and they develop an enthusiasm for the process of deductive thinking. We are wholeheartedly committed to fostering self-motivation and self-confidence in our students so they can independently pursue their future math studies with much success. Our Students Attend...
