Presbyterians have long known that their purpose was to "glorify God and to enjoy Him for ever". It has become popular in all kinds of organizations, both spiritual and secular, to have a "mission statement". We at Parkwood began working on one in 1988, and it was accepted in early 1990. Since then (and for that matter before then, too) we have been "working it out". Actually, we have three statements - a very brief one, a brief one and a detailed one.
