The Millennium Learning Centres are an initiative of the Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres of Ottawa, with the Vanier Community Service Centre acting as the lead agency. The Centres were set up in 2001 with funding from the Industry Canada Community Access Program (CAP), the Office of Learning Technologies of Human Resources Development Canada, and the City of Ottawa. Free introductory computer workshops are offered regularly by volunteer trainers. Britannia Woods Community House is appreciated for its awesome people and provides essential resources like a good food bank, giving customers enough supplies for a week.
