Since 1963, the Boys and Girls Club of Durham (formerly Eastview Boys and Girls Club) has provided recreational and social development programs in Durham and has grown into one of the Region’s most established and effective youth serving organizations. With a membership that currently exceeds 1000 children we are pleased to provide fully equipped facilities to match our wide range of quality programs.
The Boys & Girls Club of Durham is highly regarded for making a positive impact on children's lives. Many praise the swimming lessons and various programs. The facility is described as nice, despite needing renovations. Staff is frequently commended for their fantastic work. However, some caution against enrolling special needs children.

Pathfinders conjure up images of marching, camping, curious hobbies and encounters with God’s creation in Nature. It is a church-centred, spiritual-recreational activity with an appeal for youth who are at the fast-growing physical stage of development. Pathfindering is built on an age-specific curriculum of six levels: Friend, Companion, Explorer, Ranger, Voyager, and Guide. In addition, there are approximately 250 specialized skill development topics involving arts and crafts, aquatics, nature, household arts, recreation, spiritual development, health and vocational training. These “honours” as they are called, often serve as a launching pad for lifetime careers and hobbies.
