The Islamic Society of York Region, more commonly referred to as the Islamic Center or the ISYR, is a Muslim Community Center in York Region, Ontario, Canada. It was established in August of 1999. 33 acres of land were bought by ICIT director Zafar Bangash & partners in 1999. Renovation was begun on the two main buildings of the area, and other smaller projects were started. The Islamic Society of York Region is a beautiful and engaging mosque with welcoming Imams and muazzins (callers to prayer).
