The British Touch was started by Chris Hodgson in 2002. Chris, born in London and raised in Hampshire, came to Canada in the mid 80's but it was not until years later that his fond memories of home inspired him to start a business. After a short beginning in Tavistock, the business relocated to Shakespeare where it has remained. Nestled in Shakespeare's old post office and Chanticleer store from 2002 until 2004, The British Touch than relocated to Picket Fences. In the summer of 2004, the shop moved across the road to a quaint property that gave the shop the space it needed to expand. The final move was made in April 2006 to our current location, 2210 Huron Road West Shakespeare . Plenty of British treats and groceries can be found along with gift items and Scottish, Irish and Welsh items.
