The Gallucciana Association of Quebec was founded in 1965 by immigrants to Canada from in and around the quaint town of Galluccio, Italy. These"Gallucciani", who came from very modest origins, settled in the Montreal area predominately in the 1950's and 60's. They integrated well in Canadian society and brought with them the desire and the enthusiasm to carry forward their traditions, customs and culture. The Galluciana Association has served as a catalyst for these efforts and over the years has evolved to what it is today. That is, an organization which donates to various charitable and humanitarian causes, organizes activities that promote the Italian culture, and also seeks to integrate the next generation of Gallucciani Canadians.
