Since taking possession of The London Ice Park in July 2012, and re-naming it The London Sports Park. Buckingham Sports Properties (also owner of Westwood and Chesswood arenas in Toronto, and recently acquired Cambridge Sports Park) have engaged in a major revamp of the entire facility. Buckingham Sports are in the early stages of a modernization program to upgrade the facility by adding two new ice re-surfacers, adding new dressing rooms, while upgrading the old, paving the parking lot and reconfiguring the front lobby are also on the to do list. The London Sports Park is also working closely with London Hydro to retro-fit the facility with energy efficient electrical system. The Sports Park is working on having LED lighting throughout the facility to make it brighter while saving in energy costs. London Sports Park is highly regarded for its clean facilities and excellent ice quality. Visitors enjoy the food and beverage options, making it a great place for families and hockey enthusiasts. The facility offers a viewing area and restaurant/bar overlooking both rinks.
