The Bloomin Bog is a water garden center that was founded by the Webb family in 1981. I married into the family in 1996, and together with my husband Nick we have owned and operated the business since then. We hire seven full-time seasonal salespeople every year. Our business is primarily retail, and we sell aquatic plants, goldfish and koi, and all the hardware required to build a pond. The Bloomin Bog occupies an acre of land which is devoted to greenhouses, the propagation of aquatic plants, a fish house and a koi house. We pride ourselves on being a destination place for pond owners, photographers, painters, school children, and day-trippers just wishing to browse the gardens or picnic. Our mission is to bring water into every garden - no matter how small or how grandiose the space. Everyone should be able to enjoy the soothing and relaxing sounds of water. It’s so rewarding and gratifying to help people build their dream pond or water feature. It’s a uniquely shared experience, and we love to see photos and videos of the final result. I think what makes us truly unique is the passion, commitment and honest caring that we show every single person that walks in the door. We pride ourselves in customer service - they know they can trust us, and that we will only sell them what they need and nothing more.
