Agnes Etherington Art Centre is a research-intensive art museum located on the historic campus of Queens University that serves as a learning space and as the public gallery for Kingston region. The Kingston Prize provides an opportunity for Canadians to celebrate gifted artists in a way that was not previously available. The interest from artists and the public has grown exponentially since the inception of the Kingston Prize in 2005. There are 3 juried awards: 1 winner and 2 honourable mention awards. The winner receives the $20, 000 Kingston Prize, through a generous donation from the W Garfield Weston Foundation. In addition to the awards chosen by the professional jurors, People’s Choice Prizes are awarded at each exhibition location. All visitors receive a ballot to vote for their personal favourite. The Princess of Wales’ Own Regiment (PWOR) Foundation is a charity approved and registered by CCRA since April 22, 2010. The Princess of Wales’ Own Regiment Military Museum was officially opened Monday, 28 October, 1991 by Her Royal Highness, Princess of Wales, Colonel-In-Chief of the Regiment. The purpose of the Association is to foster and promote the spirit of comradeship and to continue and maintain the traditions that was and is an essential part of the Regiment’s history. The Association will provide support to the PWOR both within the unit’s activities and in the community.
