Cycle Kingston, Inc., is a registered Canadian charitable organization and incorporated non-profit whose mandate is to provide safe cycling education and cycling skills training in Kingston, Ontario, so that citizens will gain competence and confidence, and will become empowered to choose cycling as a personal means of transportation. Cycling offers many benefits: health, well-being, environmental, economic, social, and more. But cyclists, as a minority road user, need to have the skills and kowledge to cycle safely, as part of traffic. This is where we come in. Cycle Kingston works with many community partners to offer a broad variety of safe cycling initiatives, from in-class presentations at local schools, to coordinating the annual Cycling Week festival, to offering individual and small group cycling lessons, to outreach to community service groups and businesses...and so much more. Cycle Kingston is governed by a volunteer board of directors, selected based on their areas of expertise and commitment. We hire summer students each year who serve as Cycling Ambassadors and lead the delivery of our many spring and summer programs, while role modeling safe cycling behaviour. Citizens can support Cycle Kingston by becoming members for a small annual fee, by volunteering at our many events, and through donations, as well as by educating themselves about safe cycling and becoming proponents of cycling in Kingston. Please read through our website and see the things we are doing. We invite you to get involved. And please contact us if we can be of service to you.
