The EKVC was established in 1997. It has now grown to include all age categories from 13-21 years of age for both men and women and currently has a membership of over 190 athletes. The EKVC received official society status in November of 2004. The Club season gives volleyball athletes an opportunity to further develop their skills following their school season. The EKVC has also been very fortunate to have a number of highly qualified coaches who have volunteered their services. The teams compete against other volleyball clubs from throughout Alberta and British Columbia culminating in a Provincial Championship and Open National Championship. The EKVC club season varies in length depending on the availability of coaches, athletes, gyms etc. Generally most age categories run from mid-February until the National Championships in May.
