Monique’s Society For Miracles is based on the belief that people in need are of the utmost importance.This Society was formed in March 2011 and was a long time dream of Monique Saebels to make a difference in this world. Our board consists of five very dedicated members who share the same vision. We are always open to new ideas to help our community. Monique has been doing Christmas hampers for 27 years throughout different communities and has recently done a fundraiser for Roy Penrose, Marcus Smythe, Torrie Foort a four year old girl recovering from the effects of a brain tumor.

YMCA Child Care at KSS provides child care programs for infants and toddlers aged 0-5. The centre is located on Kelowna Secondary School grounds in its own separate building with a fenced outdoor play ground. All programming utilizes the nationally recognized YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum which helps build capacity for lifelong learning by creating quality learning experiences through play. As a charity, the centre is able to offer financial assistance above and beyond government subsidy to families who qualify. This specific centre also operates the Young Parent Program at Kelowna Secondary School, providing parents under 20 with the training and resources they need to thrive.
