The United Steel Workers Local 7619 represents members of the Highland Valley Copper Mine in British Columbia, Canada. Our members are men and women of diverse training and cultural background. In the early 1930's, Kamloops shooters amalgamated with the "Canadian National Recreation Association", a small-bore rifle club, under the name "Rocky Mountain Rangers Rifle Association". We shot targets in the basement of a local hardware store at that time and later used the drill Hall basement on Battle Street. The Gold Range east of the city limits was used for outdoor shooting. During World War 11 civilian shooting ceased but continued for the Rock Mountain Rangers Militia Unit members. 
The Kamloops Target Sports Association is a well-regarded shooting range offering both indoor and outdoor facilities. Members enjoy helpful range officers, a variety of shooting disciplines, and reasonable prices. The indoor range features 8 lanes, while the outdoor facility includes a short range (50m) and archery range. Prices start at around $100 per year for shooters. The club also boasts a long history, dating back to the late 1800s, and is known as the best in the region. Staff members are described as friendly and accommodating.
