The Mayflower Curling Club has an upstairs capacity of 180 and can be used for numerous events such has weddings, dances, birthday parties, office parties and most special events. We welcome large or small functions.The upstairs lounge has a full bar facility as well as an on site food catering service. Our caterer can provide services for small functions as well as large functions such as weddings. Although we have set pricing for our facility, we will work with prospective clients to accommodate their needs. Please view our library of pictures associated with previous events. We believe that our facility can meet your needs at a very affordable price. We also have six sheets of ice available for rent at various times of the day and weekends. An early request for ice rental is recommended as there are limited times available and there is a tendency for ice availability to diminish very quickly. The Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax is highly regarded by its customers for its learn to curl programs, friendly staff, ample space for relaxation, well-maintained facilities, and large windows to watch others play. The center offers plenty of parking and is equipped with a bar and tables for post-game socializing. there are also washrooms and a stage for events. The change room is located downstairs. Some customers have attended various events such as Bricksplosion, Lego Brickfest, and kitchen takeovers featuring good food and fast service.

Centennial Arena has been serving the community since 1967. It has been the main frame of the community for many years and still is today. Many great hockey players got there start at the Centennial Arena playing for the Centennial Hawks in the earlier days (now known as the Halifax Hawks); Most recently, Steven Dixon. It is also the location for the Halifax West High School Boys & Girls Hockey Team. Check the Halifax West High website for details on game times. The Halifax Skating Club has been using the arena for many, many years as well. Canadian champions Marie McNeil (Bownes) and the late Rob McCall skated many hours in preparation for their championships around the world.

The Shearwater Flyers Forum opened in October 1964 and is located at 12 Wing Shearwater, Nova Scotia. Home to the Canadian Forces National Champions Shearwater Flyers and Halifax Mariners. The arena has a 180' x 80' ice surface. We are also home to the Shearwater Skating Club and the Dartmouth Whalers Hockey Association. Come visit us and make the Shearwater Flyers Forum your home away from home. We are open to the general public.
