Frame Plus Art is a locally owned, small business focusing on custom picture framing, plaque-mounting, art prints, glass cutting, and original art work. Owners, Karen & Rick, are continuing the excellent work and building upon the reputation for quality that the previous owners cultivated. Helping us in our endeavors are Steven and Dawn (employees of Frame Plus Art), and Don and Jessica. All our custom framing is done onsite. Where we can, we purchase Canadian products and use Canadian suppliers. Our moulding, glass and ready-made frames are purchased from Canadian suppliers. We also protect our customersâ privacy. We will not sell, rent or exchange customer information. All information gathered is used to let our clients know about upcoming events, special promotions and product lines. We also have a second location in Atlantic Fabrics at 114 Woodlawn Road, Dartmouth, NS.

Where it all began! David Langille and Pauline Kaill opened Maritime Laminating and Drymounting in 1985, in Seabright, Nova Scotia. At that time, a few outwardly similar âalternative to framingâ products such as Perma Plaque and Plaquemount were available in larger centres to the west, but that was it, nothing in the Maritimes! David spent more than a year developing âClearmountâ, a superior, locally made product. A few years in.. Framers such as Maritime Frame It, Frame Plus Art and Hall of Frames (now Secord Gallery) became wholesale customers. Corporate clients, such as as Sobeys, the Province of Nova Scotia, NSLC, to name just a few, found many uses for Clearmount and the many other products and services being offered at Maritime Laminating and Drymounting Ltd. In 2005, the company moved their production facility to a new, more convenient studio on Joseph Howe Drive in Halifax. Presently David continues to enjoy producing high quality custom work for his many loyal customers. He combines his years of expertise with his well equipped shop to create one-of-a-kind displays, beautiful pieces to hang in homes and offices, or sometimes hundreds of identical awards for mass distribution. David is always happy and willing to discuss your needs, and wants to find ways to meet them.
