Heather Weatherhead has been the owner and operator of Happy Hound Hikes since October, 2001. Having been in the dog world since I was a young girl, I've done junior/regular confirmation handling, dog obedience, a dog obedience instructor with the Center for Applied Canine Behaviour in Kanata, ON for two years and Lietash Canine Academy in NS for thirteen years. I've trained in agility and competed, taught and judged in flyball. I graduated from Dalhousie University with a BSc in Psychology, including courses in animal behaviour. My training with the dog obedience facilities involved seminars and workshops with many of the industy's professionals.
