The Centre consists of an outdoor park on 5 acres of land in the Credit Valley Watershed and is operated by the WPEC volunteer Board of Directors. The board operates using following their 2010 Strategic Plan and the Management Structure outlined in the Honeycomb Framework (October 2014) -link or insert below . It exists to educate schoolchildren and the general public about ecology and the environment through programs and events, and to provide natural habitat for wildlife in the ravine at the confluence of the Credit River and Silver Creek.
