Birch Bay Ranch is a summer camp and year-round group rental facility located just 45 minutes from downtown Edmonton. Situated on 104 acres of mixed forest, meadow and lakefront terrain, Birch Bay Ranch provides children, youth and adults with unforgettable experiences. Campers and guests can challenge themselves on the obstacles of our state-of-the-art ropes course, learn to interact with animals and nature while horseback riding, enjoy delicious and well-balanced meals, and much more. Our purpose is to provide activities and facilities that allow kids and adults alike to grow physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually as they develop self-esteem, teamwork skills, independence and a love of nature, physical activity and the outdoors. All of this takes place in a warm, Christian atmosphere with positive and encouraging staff members. Activities at the Ranch include climbing walls, ziplines, horseback riding, archery and other target-shooting activities, gym and field sports, arts and crafts and more. During July and August, kids ages 8-16 can come experience a week-long summer camp . Our summer camp program hosts up to 100 campers per week, for eight weeks. Campers get the chance to try all of our activities and improve their skills at them throughout the week. In addition to those activities, they will also enjoy a fully programmed experience including campfires, chapels, skits, songs and games. A week of camp can truly be a life-changing experience for a child! From September to April, Birch Bay Ranch operates as a retreat centre for school groups, church groups, boys and girls clubs, family reunions, birthday parties, outdoor leadership groups and others. Groups can book during the week or over a weekend. A booking includes food and accommodations, the use of a meeting space, and the option to book any of our various activities. Customers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, the enjoyable experiences with horses and ziplines, and the beautiful natural surroundings. Some mention challenges with dietary needs.
