The new structure became a reality in March, 1991 when students and staff moved into the all new St. John Brebeuf Catholic School. Enrolment consisted of 156 students. The new facility afforded students a greatly improved education. Students now had a beautiful new large gymnasium and stage area, and for the first time a library resource room. St. John Brebeuf Catholic School continued to grow throughout the 1990’s and into the next century. As a result of this continued growth, an addition consisting of six classrooms, a new library resource centre, additional washrooms and storage space was built and opened in September, 2005. Presently, St. John Brebeuf Catholic School is home to over three hundred students. In its years of existence, St. John Brebeuf Catholic School has had four principals: Mr. Andy Beaudoin from September 1979 until June, 1986; Mrs. Anne Atkinson from September 1986 until March 1993; Mr. Tony Bazinet from March 1993 until June 2000; Mr. Art Connolly from September 2000 until until June 2009; and Mr. Corey Malone is the current principal.

Ross R MacKay is located on the main street of Hillsburgh. The students come from the town of Hillsburgh and the surrounding rural area. The school was built in 1960 and has had two additions since then. The school site is large and grassy. The former PTO and now, the School Council have provided creative playgrounds and shade trees on the playground. Half of the students ride the bus and the rest walk. After completing grade 6, students attend Erin P.S. for grades 7 & 8.

Schools to some extent, reflect the societies in which they operate. Hence, it is a truism that today’s educational system feels unsteady, irresolute, and struggling with a mandate that is increasingly uncertain and whose purposes are no longer self-evident. Like many other institutions, schools are finding it enormously difficult to cope with the never-ending changes in funding and provincial expectations. The results are anxious, and sometimes discouraged educators who feel that increased responsibilities are being heaped on an overburdened system that has neither the resources nor the capacity to cope. It is inevitable that teachers and parents eventually come to odds with the stress and the formidable responsibilities that have now been bestowed in today’s educational spectrum. It is from this distress and dissatisfaction that many institutions are created. We hear and read of the impending crisis, and understand both the economic, social, and emotional strains that confront an already taxed educational system. To alleviate some of this stress, and to fulfill some of the expectations that parents have bestowed on our schools, Keswick Sutherland School and associated Equestrian Centre was founded. Founded in 1999 by Mr. Jesús M. Córdoba B.A.(Hons)., M.A. and Ms. Callie D. Scheichl, Keswick Sutherland School and associated Equestrian Centre has been an undertaking of eight years, encompassing a collaboration of studies, research, and consultations with prominent educators, principals, citizens, architects, agricultural experts, horticulturalists, environmentalists, and a plethora of leading consultants. Located on Eighth Line in Halton Hills, the proposed Keswick Sutherland School & Equestrian Centre is a private co-educational, elementary day school.
