East Side Players is one of Toronto’s longest-established community theatre groups. Formed in 1967, when East York Players and Leaside Players joined forces, we’ve been engaging audiences for over 40 years. Our twofold mission is to provide a community service: by presenting engaging, affordable theatre in a comfortable space and by offering individuals a chance to develop their interests by taking part in productions. We are a non-profit group, but we maintain a high standard, having won numerous awards for best production, direction, acting and technical achievement. More than 250, 000 theatre-goers have enjoyed our 200 shows which include comedies, dramas, mysteries, thrillers and even original musical revues.
